David Price – Banjo, Guitar and Vocals - As a teenager David played banjo in nearly all the London jazz venues with dozens of bands. He went from the comedy unit, Celestial Banjo Band (which played at Colchester Jazz Club 1972) to a solo cabaret career, then ran an entertainment agency, made several radio and television appearances, gave banjo recitals at London’s Southbank and taught jazz appreciation, before a 7 year sabbatical studying music and classical guitar to gain a degree. David then worked professionally in small jazz units in the private/corporate field. Now, in later youth, he enjoys the excitement of playing with traditional jazz bands, his first love. Jazz singer and partner Maralyn, often escorts him to gigs offering a song or two.
