Band Info

Tim Wake. – Banjo. I was born in Feltham in 1946, brought up in Staines. Have lived in Uxbridge for the past 40 years. Worked in the television and film industry until I retired in 2011. At the age of 14, I played in St Peters School band, ‘The Gatesmen Jazzmen’, this being my first band. Joined ‘James Alley Jazzmen’ in about 1974 and played with them until1987. Formed my own band in approximately 1990, ‘The Steam Packet Six’. Joined ‘West London Rhythm Kings’ in 1993, then ‘The vintage Band’ about 2002 stayed with them until early 2012 when I joined ‘The Excel Jazz Band, then in October 2017, I joined ‘The New Orleans Jazz
